MERCHANDISING & FLOW

This section showcases my approach to merchandising, product flow, and spatial planning to improve navigation, clarity, and performance across retail environments.

I approach merchandising and floor layout as interconnected systems that guide the guest journey, support category productivity, and reinforce brand storytelling.

My focus is on optimizing product flow, zoning, and capacity while ensuring layouts remain flexible across store sizes, formats, and seasonal shifts.

Product Flow & Guest Journey

I design product flow by considering how guests naturally move through the space, using sightlines, adjacencies, and pathways to create intuitive navigation.

Clear entry points, directional flow, and purposeful transitions help reduce friction and encourage exploration across categories.

Zoning, Density & Capacity

Zoning and density decisions are informed by category roles, volume, and seasonality.

I balance capacity with visual clarity to ensure product remains easy to shop while supporting depth of assortment and commercial objectives.

Floor Layouts & Spatial Logic

Floor layouts are developed with repeatable spatial logic, allowing merchandising strategies to scale across store tiers and formats.

This approach ensures consistency while enabling flexibility based on store size, category mix, and regional needs.

This layout is designed to guide the guest through the space using clear sightlines, uninterrupted pathways, and balanced fixture placement. The central aisle establishes a natural flow from entry to the back of house, encouraging exploration across categories while minimizing friction and congestion.

Zoning, Density & Capacity

Product is zoned by category and volume, with density adjusted to support both depth of assortment and ease of shop. High-velocity categories are given greater capacity, while secondary zones maintain visual clarity, ensuring the space remains navigable and commercially effective.

The floor layout follows a modular, repeatable system that can scale across store formats and tiers. Symmetry, fixture rhythm, and consistent spacing create a cohesive structure that supports flexibility while maintaining operational efficiency and brand consistency.
