DESIGN PROCESS

Initial Ideation

In this initial phase, I paper sketched and explored some initial idea as solution which helped me to even understand better the user flow.(Below)

User Flow

Digital Wireframing V.1

Main Page_Wireframe 2.jpg

User Testing:

For this project, I had friends and family test the prototype, collecting valuable feedback that significantly improved the UI.

70%

Is confused about what is or is not a CTA

50%

finds the overall interface crowded and with not enough space between elements

85%

finds that there are not enough information about designer, the vote and the join the contest proess.

    Solution

  • Removed the iper-linked text from all the menu list elements. I left only the one to match the current page.

  • Used the same color for the CTA buttons and make primary one bigger.

  • Adjusted the hierarchy.

    Solution

  • Adjusted the padding and simplified the overall interface, eliminating the unnecessary elements such as button, also making every single page clear on what the user can do adding title’s page.

FINAL CONCLUSIONS

Through the development of the Pulsar Fashion microsite, I deepened my understanding of design thinking and its iterative nature. This project reinforced the importance of empathy in the design process, as understanding user needs and behaviors was crucial to creating a meaningful and engaging platform. The purpose of the site, to promote sustainable fashion, connect like-minded individuals, and host a voting contest for avant-garde designs, underscored the value of aligning design goals with user motivations. Iteration and continuous improvement, driven by user testing feedback, proved essential in refining the UI and enhancing the overall user experience. This project not only sharpened my technical skills but also highlighted the significance of user-centered design in creating impactful digital experiences.
